
Ever saw those guys in
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess? They're badass, some sexy-looking evil black knights, funnily named as Darknuts.
So I thought, why not try texturing the PVKII Heavy Knight to turn him into one of them or similar? And I did!

How to install? Just put "HK Darknut" (Not the .rar, .vpk) into your custom folder, which should be at "Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\pirates, vikings and knights ii\pvkii". If there's no "custom" folder, you make one.
Everything has been retextured, even the hands in first person as you can see. Not just that, I did actually add some new textures, just Bump Maps for the third-person weapons, some of them have been manually edited too.
Heavy Knight is retextured using the regular Armored Darknut as model, he still has some of the Unarmored Darknut on him (especially the gems).
The shield was done without using any model, so it's unique or whatever. While the sword did have a model, the "Backup Sword" of the Darknut.
Zweihander has been retextured using the regular Darknut sword as a model.
Credits go to Links for allowing some of his assets to be used (Black Knight's Heavy Knight and Faceless Knights), Andskiman for making a custom model for the sword and I guess drun-Kris-ky for a small suggestion, but he's no TABLE.

Now with that in mind, here are some changes;
Darknut Big Sword
- Improved normal maps, the letters will now look like they were welded in.
- Fits in first-person as well as in third-person, with the very same shaders but slightly different textures.
Darknut Backup Sword
- Completely remade, now looks just like the original with new texture edits and the like.
- Changed the gripple in first-person and third-person. It's now darker.
- Fits in first-person as well as in third-person, very same shaders but slightly different textures. (Might need a lil' bit more work though, due to the "slightly different textures")
Heavy Knight "Darknut"
- Improved shaders a little, the Darknut won't look dull on some parts now, but he won't look extremely shiny either.
- Gave him "black eyes" and changed his face so it looks a little more like the disarmoured Darknut, with the dark red-purple clothing. The idea was red eyes, but then I realized that's for the Wind Waker Darknuts, cartoon isn't really my like.
First-Person Hands/Gauntlets
- Changed the shaders so now it's "character shader". By using phong, the hands fit more in third-person. While not shiny, nor as shiny as the original gauntlets, they still got a very nice shader.
Darknut Shield
- Now has way better metalplate in first-person, right where the handle is.

After some rather long time has passed (at least a year), I haven't updated Darknut...Until now. Finally.
Lots of changes have been made;
- Darknut and his weaponry now have RTNL.
- Darknut's Two-Hander & Sword now have different models in third-person. (I'm still a very bad modeller so forgive me if it sucks)
- Revamped the Two-Hander and Sword's textures.
I've also made it so the Darknut should still look good even without "mat_advancedshaders" enabled, but he's not as good with RTNL, obviously.
