PVKII Dedicated Server launch error

last night I installed the PVKII dedicated server. When I launched it, however, it showed the window 'launcher error' that had text saying 'Failed to load the launcher DLL, the specified procedure could not be found.' Any clues on what to do?

Tried verifying twice and it didn't work. Thanks for trying though :)
I'll try reinstalling the thing, maybe that'll work

Did you install the server files from Steam client's tools or did you use SteamCMD?

If you didn't use SteamCMD I highly recommend using it to install the server files. It might also be the reason for the error due to Valve's SteamPipe stuff. Here's the tutorial how to use it: http://forums.pvkii.com/index.php?showtopic=14107

I followed the CMD steps exactly like it said and it went horribly wrong. I really prefer using the one i mentioned above. If veryfing the files does not work, I will upload my .dll for you and you can see if that works. Because as far is I can tell you missing just the one file.

Hm, I'm not exactly sure, but you could try launching it through a batch file. I've never had the error before, but if I had to guess, it has to do with the server GUI based on the term "launcher." You should have no problem at least launching the server itself. All the PVKII Dedicated Server tool is is basically Source 2007 Dedicated Server with the PVKII files.

If it's an issue with the PVKII files, you could just quite literally copy and paste the "pvkii" directory for the game over and see if that does anything. Now with the batch file, you may get an error regardless, I always do, but the server will keep on running after you click OK.

Pretty much just copy and paste this into a text file and rename it so it's a .bat extension:

    "srcds.exe" -console -game pvkii -port 27015 +maxplayers 24 +map bt_island

The bat file just needs to be in the same folder as the srcds.exe. Of course if you solve the problem, don't forget to post a solution! :]
