Captain and his parrot

The captain should be able to send his parrot to enemys who he is looking at. What I mean by that is that if the player decides to take down 1 certain class he has to look at him and press rmb to send the parrot straight to him. So, the parrot would only attack randomly if no target was focused.

This is very useful in situations when for example a heavy wounded archer hides behind 2 heavy knights who doesnt let you pass, but the parrot may do. Of course this should also only work on certain distances, not all over the map (thinking of arena/cathedral).

Your thoughts?

This sounds like a good idea to me, having the parrot go for random targets does not always yield the wanted results for the Captain. Giving him a little control over what the parrot does could be quite nice. I've actually often found myself in a situation much like the one you describe, I wanted to have my parrot bother a wounded opponent, but it would fly towards a completely different enemy, only to get stabbed immediately and be of no use at all.

Not saying this will happen any time soon, though. This is just my opinion.

It really should be like this, not completely sure causes the parrot to sometimes get off its target when not blocked by something.

I just wanna throw in that the parrot does not attack randomly but the nearest visibly opponent. When you send your parrot behind a pillar on arena for example you can cause him to attack the archer which is further away instead of the heavy knight chasing you. It obviously often does not work out but it's still worth mentioning in this context.

It sounds like a reasonable idea to me, especially after the captains moves so slow since the last patch. I could think of some kind of notification when the parrot is locked to a target to let you know that you're in range and such - like a red crosshair or something

    +1

Denshin is a rather overpowered class.

We're currently working on making Denshin less OP.

I do want this. My parrot has done nothing but making problems worse for me by not attacking that huscarl in front of me but instead luring in more vikings and knights to me ._:

GREAT IDEA! Parrots should be able to track crosshaired targets. Wow, this is a brilliant idea.

try sending the parrot out then returning it. Its annoying for the person being attacked and it helps keep the parrot alive.
