Holiday Troubles

Greetings everyone.

We want to start out by wishing you a great start to the new year. We hope you have been enjoying this holiday season.

Now comes the most difficult part of this post. 2.3 will not make the proposed December release.

I was premature in my announcement of December as our release date, and underestimated how much the holidays would interfere. The team has worked hard and done everything possible to get 2.3 out the door, but the Holidays have delayed our release.

We don't expect it to be a long delay, and will release as soon as possible in the new year. We want to thank all of our fans for helping support this game that we've already put so much time and work into. The team and I are as eager as anyone to play 2.3 in public.

More information on the release date will be available soon.

    thats fucked up. have been waiting forever for the patch to come out and its being delayed again which isnt really much of a big surprise.

    Well I thouth that you guys are ready and want to realese on 31 dec 23:59 but i was wrong so just realese it when its done whithout bugs and gliches pls mellow.gif .Couse it has to be worth it for this one year we have been waiting smile.gif

    much closer to 2 years than 1.

    PS. Why are people blaiming Valve? You can't just hand over valve a mod and say "here release it in 2 days!". i guess they need to be messeged in advance, don't they?

    Why would we blame the team for the delay?
    They are finished, it is in valve hands.
    But it is good that they haven't released it now,
    with all the holidays, new games, TF2 update.
    January would be a bit better for the player flow.

    But still: Damn, you valve! I want to play 2.3!

    This will actually end up being BETTER for the mod having it come out on steam on a release day decided by Valve.

    People playing the new TF2 Update, Left 4 Dead2: DLC, "insert any other pc game that competes here" won't even see PVK2's new release.

    as annoying as those automatic Steam Update news things are, I can't wait for the PVKII ad to invade steam users everywhere sometime next year.

    L4D2 DLC? Am I missing something? DLC was only released for L4D so far.

    Knowing how "when its done" is the best way to go I´m surprised PVK Team went through all the effort to announce an actual release date, post all the announcements and then miss it.

    Also I´m quite glad people aren´t flaming this to death knowing a better product will come. Hell it has been so many years, 1 month seems like a second in Valve and PVK time.
