Hello everyone!

I have worked some parts of my new map to that point i can share some screens and if you notice anything
what disturb post here please. Constructive feedback is always nice to read.

This name "Arx" come from game named Arx Fatalis where is similar map like this.

    Cool idea! The map could use a bit more contrast though. You might wanna consider adding a couple more fireplaces or torches.

    yea maybe I add some fireplaces.

    I have odd problem with some textures when using hdr. Expample woodbeam01a and skirmish keg texture is glowing white.
    Anyone one how to fix that?

    To fix the glowing textures you need to add cubemaps.

    What gameplay-mode will it be?

    You should use more different textures. Also, the map looks to dark. I don't think it would play so well.

    Will Turner: You didn't beat me. You ignored the rules of engagement. In a fair fight, I'd kill you.
    Jack Sparrow: That's not much incentive for me to fight fair, then, is it?

    How did you stretch the crates? I can't seem to resize my models at all.

    Map seems well built, but you need some warmer lights. All that blue light will tend to make players uncomfortable.

    That's 'cause you can't scale models in Hammer. He just used a different crate model.

    The problem with the glowing is definitely cubemaps. You have to add several env_cubemaps throughout your map.

    I have added many of them but it's still glowing like some other textures.


    And other weird thing is that when I compile whole map it's lagging but my fps is still like 70-100 mostly.

    Very nice! I played Arx Fatalis and it was one of my favourite games... I always dreamed that they will remake Arx Fatalis in new engine, better graphics and etc. :-P I can recognize this area and its really good, it just needs some more work of course... And I hope the dead bodies, weapons and arrows all over the place will be there too icon_viking.gif ...and mainly the tavern opposite to the "castle" :-)
