Hey guys, unfortunately I have some sour news. I've been "kicked" out of being a beta tester (because I have a life) and I am unable to boot PVKII-Dev. Due to this fact I will be unable to show you guys any further progress that I have made and will continue to make. This wouldn't be a problem if Trium wasn't using props and textures used only in the Dev build of PVKII. Until Gaz finishes Pinegrove, there wont be anymore screen shots, sorry.
For investing so much time, and being possibly one of the best looking maps that has ever been made for pvk, they wont allow u to have the build to see ur work in game? Sigh, keep working at it, maybe in june a patch will come near.... Hell for all we know pinegrove will be extended YET AGAIN....
We havent barred him from anything. Being removed from the beta testers team doesn't remove the last dev build you downloaded from your hard drive. He's more than welcome to show updated pictures of his map.

For some reason PVKII-Dev wont load up any maps. I'm assuming this happeneds to beta testers after they've been removed from testing as a way to "sabotage" their copy of PVKII-Dev directory. I always thought they just would have changed the SVN password, but I guess that's a lot trouble for the rest of the testers. I would love to be a beta tester again at some point, or possibly even a Dev once I get more time to really sit down and map my heart out.
I just want to assure everyone that Trium will keep going no matter what. I've put too much time into this damn map to let it go. Just wait until you see the new screens. I have to say, they're pretty sexy.
Can't you just move all of the props over to your 2.4 materials file and configure your hammer to run it through the public version of the game? As long as you don't release the map to the public before pinegrove, I wouldn't see a problem with that.
Has it really been two years?! PVKII has changes quite a bit since then with some stellar looking new maps and a brand new class! I only hope that these changes haven't changed the scene of new custom maps made by the community. I hope to see more and more maps from you all! After all PVKII wouldn't be where it is today if it weren't for the community!
Trium is a funny little map that's been in the works for over 6 years now! It undergone a *lot* of changes over the years. This is partially because I'm somewhat of a perfectionist and I want Trium to look the best it possibly can while at the same time play very smoothly and fluidly.
After two years of silence, I'm happy to say that I've been bitten by the mapping bug once again and am in full gear to get Trium out the door and into the hands of the community and it's servers! So without further adieu here are some of the latest screens!
Definitely it's a beautiful map. It looks wonderful and it probably plays great. My only ever so slight complaint is the brick texture. It's overused in PVKII maps. My personal opinion. Other than that, it's absolutely perfect! Great work! Torches, spiderwebs, barrels, fish, trees, it all looks wonderful!
Here is a very early, very rough, preview of the area leaving the Knight's Castle as it ascends up the mountain to the Vikings spawn point.
The lighting is way off and the lack of a 3d sky box makes it lack depth. But I really wanted to show what I've been working on and I've gotten the layout finalized.

60% Of the map has been completed, he gave the map to a few of us me, sanders, and peepee maybe others.
Likely to apply the map as a team application but only as a contribution as he does not have time to work for the team.

This is really a map that just needs to be..."Finished". Got no good expression to say.
