So... since Megaman's appearance in Smash Bros announcement, it should be no surprise I wanted to make a map of him.
The map's design is based off a stage (Gladiator) from The Grid, a 3D DM style chaotic arcade game by Midway I use to play back in the day. Some changes were made to make it more appropriate for PVK2 and with "Classic" Megaman style graphics. Being Trinket Wars this map is going to feel chaotic on purpose.
~FAQ~
Q: Spawns!?
A: Spawns are in their respective color coded buildings, more below
Q: Kegs!?
A: The main fighting arena in the center allows people to crouch against it or above it to avoid kegs and not take damage. The towers, center blocks, and the center bumps on the walls aid as well.
Q: Range!?
A: EDIT: 8/5/13 Range does not seem to be nearly as problematic as I was afraid of. Currently it is quite unsafe to play range unless you are aware of your surroundings 24/7 thanks to the extra spawns around the map including the 4th side which is shared by all three teams.
Q: Health/Armor/Ammo!?
A: Health is on top of the main center block which requires more jumps than the other surrounding blocks. Armor is placed on the smaller blocks and in the corners of the map. Ammo is placed between the blocks surrounding the large block.

I'll see what colored textures I can use from the classic series to distinguish the three spawn buildings (on the outside) appropriately besides just the emblems, thanks. As for the inside of the rooms, I liked the animated screens and haven't found variations to use that were easy on the eyes yet. There will be shields that you can't see until you shoot them like Time Gal has currently in front of the doors.

I've been experimenting with some textures for the arena floor with not much success. I have made an animated texture to test with the arena floor and the outermost wall. Not sure which of the two it looks better with. The videos may have weird quality at the start but it fixes itself some seconds in.
The Arena version (feels like a disco or on some computer terminal)

Textures about finished, still testing alternatives for stairs and the main floor (some artifacts at distanced angles)
Introducing Quick Man (not sure why the video quality is like this but I suggest you put it at highest setting)
Quick Man will arrive randomly on average once per TW round
To those concerned about the music, it is quite low volume and may be barely heard in a full match (on purpose to not bother folks)

I am aware I took some time to post it here but I wanted to be sure the issues the map had were the map itself or the server. Everything should be resolved now.
b2 changes:
--Quick Man comes out earlier instead of near the end of matches
--Doors should be better (thanks Ubermann)
--Pirate 4th building spawn should spawn Pirates now instead of Knights
--Emblems of each of the Dr.'s no longer create an opening to see through
Known issues:
--Brightness (not sure how to handle this, possibly color correction?)
--Slight delay on end of Quick Man tune and carries over if he spawns when round ends (goes away after it finishes playing)

So just a word of caution in case other servers have this issue, it is because of te_gravitywars_b4.
Will talk with the creator about the map next time I see him.
