Useful Commands

Help me? Also, some I find nice.
Yes, I am not entirely familiar with all server commands. Some I know their names but am not sure about their usage. I'll just ask...

What is to make it start as Sudden Death every time?

The command, mp_suddendeathtime will set how long Sudden Death occurs, yes?

How to set round time?
mp_roundtime
mp_roundlimit > What these do?
mp_winlimit


What is to set map time?
mp_timelimit
mp_timelimit_waitroundend > Right commands? Their purpose?

Then some I find amusing...

mp_friendlyfire 1

mp_limitteams 0

These are useful with large amounts of players on Trinket Wars:

mp_trinketwars_minkills 20
mp_trinketwars_maxkills 30

Now once I get some of these commands set, hopefully I can get Source Mod.

    there is a pvkiiconsolecommands.txt in the pvkii folder:

    mp_holygrail_maxkills : Don't allow the number of kills required to win the game to be more than this value.
    mp_holygrail_minkills : Don't allow the number of kills required to win the game to be less than this value.
    mp_killdelay : Amount of time in seconds it takes for the 'kill' command to kill the player using it.
    mp_limitteams : Max. allowed diference between team player counts
    mp_randsuddendeath : Controls the chance for sudden death to occur at start of the round. Values run from 0 to 1.
    mp_restartround : Restart round in X seconds
    mp_roundlimit : Round limit in number of rounds

    mp_roundtimer_lastteamstanding : Round time for Last Team Standing gamemode
    mp_shuffleplayers : Shuffles players in the server between the three teams equally
    mp_suddendeathtime : Time in seconds that Sudden Death Mode will last
    mp_timelimit_waitroundend : Wait for the end of round before changing map
    mp_winlimit : Win limit in number of rounds
    status_pvk2 : Shows Playername, SteamID and Parrot Name of all players in the server.
    updateplstatus : Updates the showing of dev status for the client issuing the command




    btw what is the difference between moveplayer and moveplayerid ??? and is <team> number (1="Pirates",2="Vikings",3="Knights") or a string??

    My guess:
    moveplayer = player name; (but there j**ks like mayday who using different names or switching them frequently or hacking characters).
    That where moveplayerid comes handy. It refers to steam_id instead of name. something like this:?

    For high ping can someone suggest best settings in config for me.. I had rates and dl rates and everything in dod set up well with someones help...
    but have nooo idea for PVK.

    my rates are 26000

    I don't really know much about pings and how to improve.... Maybe you should change the tick?

    try to decrease cl_cmdrate and cl_updaterate
    maybe you have to adjust your cl_interp_ratio then


    enable net_graph to find the best settings http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/TF2_Network_Graph

    but most severs will force you to a min. value. On my server for example the values of cl_cmdrate and cl_updaterate are forced to be at least the default values:
    sv_minupdaterate 20
    sv_maxupdaterate 101
    sv_mincmdrate 30
    sv_maxcmdrate 100
    sv_client_min_interp_ratio -1
    sv_client_max_interp_ratio 1

    Once in a while on a new round on a server, it will say a player joined 'team 2' and so on. I don't know if there is a team 1. Try team 2, team 3, and team 4.

    for chestzones and stuff in hammer:
    0=pirates
    1=vikings
    2=knights

    but don´t know if that is whats needed here

    You could check the scripts in the PVKII GCF file. I've found some interesting things in there. I really would help, really. I am barely home so I don't have access to my files. Later, I may find something that may help.
