No. some changes may be for the better. but there are also changes that only confuse old users and new users don't benefit from it either.

for my part, I can argue for many things that are great in CS4.
I'll use photoshop as an example because it is the most used.
For instance, working with 3d was nothing like it is now.
Also applying adjustment layers is easy as heck.

why don't you give me an example of what you feel is bad in CS4 so I can argue against you

Brightness and contrast for example has been moved around. Everything is all shiny and bling, which is useless and only distracts.

There are slight movings of certain features yes.
Brightness and contrast might be one of em. I also use a lot of the apply image feature which has been moved a bit but that I think does not qualify as a problem. Definitely not a change for the worst. It's a question of getting used to which won't take longer than 2 or 3 times of using the feature.
Shiny and bling? Naw, not really. That makes it sound like a gay disco when in fact it simply looks more modern than CS3. I like it. Of course that doesn't mean everyone has to. But it's again a question of personal preference.
The new layout fits better with the windows 7 appearance in my opinion, too.
Overall slight modifications to which you refer as limitations seem to be in most cases the relocation of a single button or feature. It won't take long to get used to it. The new layout isn't gay. It's gay though. smile.gif

Exactly, it fits the windows 7 layout. I hate the new layout of windows and msn aswell. It distracts from the important informantion, instead you get to look at shiny useless windows.
