Dev Journals

CrazytalkCrazytalk TerminatorPVKII Team
The site now features a Dev Journal section where team members will be posting their progress on many different aspects of the game. These will be updated a lot more frequent than the main News, but keep an eye out on both for updates.

The new section can be accessed at http://www.pvkii.com/devjournal.php and a link has been added on the left page navigation of the main site.

i was just wondering how much lagg we can expect from the projectiles inbedded in people and will there be an option to disable it?

These are freaking awesome :x. Not to mention they might just do the trick of cutting down on release posts while still making people want the mod more, seemingly best of both worlds. *Cries tears of joy*

The effect is client-side so it won't cause any network lag. It could decrease FPS a little but I haven't really noticed any impact in performance in my tests. I will include an option to disable it though.

Thanks, that would be really usefull as i need all the FPS i can get.

Excellent work on the inbedded projectiles though (i dont want to sound ungrateful)

srsly, i wonderfull idea! Best thing to be released since beta 1

Yeah, it shouldn't be a very big hit, considering how little a difference the grass tufts make, and there's far more of those than arrows. Albeit, one is a sprite and the other a model...

akz you say hello world in your coding entry because most compilers print hello world as a template right? or is it a coincidence

haha. Hello world was the first thing i learned to program.

but this all looks totally sweet and am so uber pumped. I know this game will soon overtake CS:S as the ultimate mod for HL2!

I'm surprised (and pleased) at how often there's something new to read in these new dev journals. It's been up 5 days and there's already 5 entries. Try to keep the 'one update a day' thing up wink.gif

yes please do so. When we see less journals the beta should be near completion.
