Keep an eye on this, it will probably be updated daily.

UPDATE: MORE PHOTOS OF PROGRESS
-map is booty steal.
-I know what most people are thinking, its a bit blocky. I will be adding curves in fo sho.
-updated some stuff on the combat, as you can see from the bridges, the kegs could become quite deadly, but some of the bridges are low enough for vikings to shank at and for knights to shoot.
-im working on the building aspect now, so the players can freerun all over the place (jumping from roof to roof, entity to roof etc)
-the vikings and pirates will have to steel from a castle at the end of the bazaar. once they have the chests they can find many ways to make it back to their base (ie tunnels, rooftop ,alley ways etc.)
- 2Dskybox created
-Sun
-extra light added/ more to come
-3D skybox/cubemaps/some water/knight spawn major update/vikings spawn displacements/tunnels/scallywag secrets/traps still to come
- at the stairs location i will be adding some statues, rocks, displacements to provide cover for attacking teams, this will allow teams to attack the knights with some cover from the new archers in beta II. It will also provide a nice ambushing tactic for the heavy knights however.

its my first map ever! A few weeks ago i didnt even know how to use this thing, now i know! hooray! im not a noob at hammerz lol

    Its a great start i recken especially that you've only had 3 weeks of mapping! However I think that its a bit too squareish, maybe curve a few walls or something? smile.gif

    it looks quite big. I wouldnt want to run accross that as a heavy knight.

    great start might be a bit wierd having a church in arab country though.

    make sure you optimise it.

    Fairness will be looked upon, but it's really not that big.

    will do will do. It's pretty much like a market and ill have like different shops/stores, so ill have like a magician shop, weapon shop, plant store, pirates store,knight store, vikings store etc. There will be like secret things in each shop/store/pub etc.

    It should be done before the next patch, so it will be optimized and fairness will be looked upon.

    If anyone wants to help in the creation of dis, im open for help.

    kool i like the idea of having a special area to go for a teams weapons, as far as i know, no PVKii map has done that yet they just leave the stuff lying everywere.

    Can't wait to play it.

    ya i noticed in your 300 one you did that, but i think were he is coming from is just all the developed ones by the PVK team - the armour and stuff is all scattered.

    ive scrapped that ending for a bit, im concentrating on the bazaar part as of now. Crazy mafuckin pirates jumpin from building top to building top mafuka'sss

    You should ask the team to include it in the beta 2 release.

    can't beleve you only started using Hammer a few weeks ago and you have come up with this, awesome!!

    Does anyone have any ideas on something they want to see in this map? i.e. a special store, a stable etc.?

    It looks pretty nice but looks to modern for a pirate viking knights era but if you look towards aging it then it limits creativity. I think where the chests are needs somthing done with it. It seems a bit off i dunno if this would work on your map but you could have some steps going up towards it like long pyramid style steps either or the same length or could get smaller i dunno then have some props up with the chests. Btw i would be happy to help test this with you sometime if you like.

    I see what you mean, I am full of creativity ( i considered exactly what you said lol, part of the title, is a pun to how creative the map will be, despite the word being spelt different) and i acknowledge your opinion, respectively. I just laid out the chests randomly to test, i'm not even completely done the map so i understand your opinion and i will use it. I think i will be making small platforms with pillars, most likely 8 chests on each wall - island style but with a bazaar twist.

    And yeah, that would be awesome dude, when i think i'm done this map, we'll set er up, we test, and if there is no shat to clean after the test - its good to go.

    Ah ok sounds cool well if you need someone to test it while creating it as well to help you with ideas i will be more than glad to help you.

    The map doesn't look bad after all, especially if it is your first map. Of course, there are some things I add to make it better. Like, in the bar or whatnot, the lights have no sources. That looks stupid. You can add torch models or the like to make it look better.
    Displacements: You said you would add them... perfect.
    Details: Fill the map with junk, so it looks like a town where people actually live in^^

    Ive got no cubemaps yet so i just put in some lights randomly, i understand you completely smile.gif, will do.
    I'm adding a few desertruin type mountain things near the viking spawn (i have to figure out how to make those), some sand buildup along buildings and dunes in the skybox as some displacements.
    Junk will be added, i will try not to add too much because it might slow down fps, but there will be the town junk and town sounds.

    UPDATE: viking spawn update, town platforms added, realistic lamps to house light, strobe light added to strip club.

    Write net_graph 3 in the console for turning it on and net_graph 0 for turning it off.

    got it. my map has good fps hooray. I think testing of the map should begin in the next couple of weeks. I wanna get this done, i have a job and life lol

    Well i should be able to get you a smaller server only about 4-6 people or we could try ask chilly from primefarm to let us have a test hes always quite helpful.
