Here it is! Pvk_wmwt_b2 is done and ready to be released! Get it while it's hot, boys!

New features:
-The frustrating ladder is now like the other, simpler one.
-The inner room has a different layout and alot less dark.
-The territory is now larger, and a different shape.
-A secret riddle for those who want to uncover the awesome!

(Actually, I didn't finish the full reward for the secret because I wanted to get this map out ASAP. It's still fully functional though, and I won't change the steps needed to be taken in order to start it in _b3, so try to figure it out anyway!)

Previous bugs fixed:
-Top of the ladders can cause you to bounce away.
-Stairs
-Pirates and Knights Spawn
-One of the ladders to the very top sucks to an abnormal degree.
-Glowing Weapons

The Riddle.

Within this island is a secret held dear,
three keys must be stuck by him without fear.
This challenge stands still for all who dare.
Heed these words, or fall into despair.

The first key is a block of stone, civilization long past.
The second among many brethren, yet placed in last.
The final key, found by a tree, supports the flame upon the sea.
Push these three and you shall see, your petty battle must end fast.

    Awesome map, might make a couple of suggestions. Maybe spawn the Pirates and Knights a bit further apart they ended up getting into huge battles while the VIkings climbed to the top and it seemed like there was just one huge Pirate/Knight fight at the bottom.

    The Viking Spawn the staircase is a bit too high at the bottom and you have to jump to climb the initial stair.

    The weapons were glowing white for me when outside and sometimes inside the middle of the map, I heard this is an affect of lighting or something? Perhaps you can fix that, otherwise it's a lot of fun. Nice job.

    uggg you need to scale up the grass texture a bit. Tiling is way too evident right now.

    Been told the weapons has to do with cubemaps/lighting but I am no mapper.

    Would be nice to have some long grass or something to detract from the bare bottom of the mountain and also shroud each teams spawn. Maybe a few tree's, more rocks or something.

    Nice job can't wait for b2.

    A detail texture that creates some grass could be nice. And get rid of the green in and closest to the water tongue.gif

    If some of the weapons/props are white and/or glowing you have to buildcubemaps in your console.

    Played it last night, way too big... combat is usually 1on1 ranged and when you get to the top its hard to hold... love that keep it, but make the tower smaller and bring the spawn points closer. I like realism over unrealistic games(Yet I still like this game?), so im probably going to hate it until its a castle with multiple cannons firing down on the invading vikings who are also getting blown up by the suicidal pirates who don't take the game seriously.

    Yeah maybe some more leaves on the ground and it can be autumn or something.

    Found a few bugs:
    At the top ragdolls fall through the checkered top grate when they die?
    Top of ladders don't give you a smooth way off, you bounce into the air.
    I had a viking die and his weapon was glitched in the wooden floor and was spinning around in circles for a while, screenshot below.
    Fell through the map I'll show you some pictures.

    Suggestions:
    Maybe some a bit more armour/food around the outside and top corners as well.
    Maybe make the secret more explosive since it sounds really scary? Maybe make the floor drop at the top and the floor inside cracks open with lava? Or possibly have a big explosion that kills a number of people? The statues were cool and all but it sounded serious smile.gif
    Maybe make a walkway from one of the sides as an alternate route.
    Laslty maybe a few broken walls or two at the top to hide behind for kegs smile.gif

    Great improvement over the first one, seems popular. Can't wait for b3! People were starting to complain about the FPS, I assume the only real area that needs FPS increase would be the top, maybe have less visuals by making some sort of outer wall around the border of the top? Or come up with something else smile.gif

    Nice map!
    Some crits:
    - Why is there fire burning outside in daylight? I would remove it (glow looks silly)
    - Give the top 4 cilinders (where the fence is where u can look inside) some more subdivisions? or replace them?
    - I get bad fps at some of the spots, this can partly be the game yes but at some points u can see almost the entire map
    - add some soundscapes , ex: wind etc.

    It's a really original idea smile.gif, make some improvements and you got a great map wink.gif

    I played the map before I saw this thread...

    I realy liked it. The best thing was that you actually can fight for the top and not just sit there and get keged down after a few seconds.

    Yea, it seems there are ALOT of bugs to be worked out. Almost all of them are gameplay involved, so I'll need someone willing to test an insane amount of test compiles.

    I can honestly say that this is by far my favorite custom map, and that I'm anxious to play b2 (Most of the bugs didn't really bother me much). Keep up the good work.

    Another few bugs:
    Knights don't have enough spawns or something, on round start about 3 knights die...
    Random places you can fall through the map on the side mountain areas.

    Another suggestion, still move Pirates around more towards the vikings, there is plenty of extra room, the pirates are still charging the knights.
