Problem with Server Browser

Hello all

One player asked me for help. He can't open the server browser in main menu. Other buttons seem to be fine.

He says that he didn't do anything with files. He started playing in PVKII in 2012, then someone stoled his account and our player deleted steam. And only today he installed PVKII again and got this error.

One player asked me for help. He can't enter in ANY server because VAC doesn't let him to do it.
This player had one VAC ban on his account, but now he is totally fine and plays in Dota 2 every day.

Any suggestions how to fix this?

Does he have a VAC ban in any of the following games:

Counter-Strike: Source
Half-Life 2: Deathmatch
Day of Defeat: Source
Team Fortress 2

If he does, the ban also applies to PVKII.

Sadly, I don't know. He only plays in Dota 2.

I will ask him to install one of these games.

He installed tf2. And he is fine.
He even decided to do it on alternative account. Same result.

Well first thing, we need to know the EXACT error message. There's different error messages relating to VAC, so trying to figure out what the problem blind like this isn't going to work so well. Secondly, if the player already had an alternate account without a VAC ban, they should try PVKII with that if you believe this to be an actual error.
