Hello my name is LATTEH, like latte, but i taste better... wait no why did i tell you that? I'm one of the new additions to the PVKii team. I am in charge (really i am? what? stop talking to you and read the cards. No you read the cards)
of the environment overhaul of desert ruin. The level will have the theme of egyptian ruins close to the river nile. There is a lot of work to do to make the level feel and look good.
Anyways heres some screenshots of what the level looks so far.

As for the level. Not much has changed I kept the design of the level as close as i possibly could to the original. If anyone has some feedback they would like to give I would love to hear what you have to say about my work and any possible changes to the original design.
Desertruin was very popular back in the old days. Granted, it's different now (now more keg-tossing into the tower) but I feel that these visual changes will make it more popular again. It really lacked eye-candy.

What things would you like to see in the new desertruin? Not only do we want the map to look better, which is certainly happening already, but we want players to love this map even more. Traps, gimmicks, features etc.

maybe you could have like the pharaohs guards on the map? a team could complete an optional obj and which ever team completes it first gets control of the pharaohs guards. or you could have all these secret passageways / underground halls to a pharaohs tomb or maybe even an entire pyramid to explore or you could have it like this "the person who does xxx first gets to play as the pharaoh" an entirely new map exclusive playable character!...orrrrr for a less time consuming alternative you could throw in some new traps like a locust swarm ect or the locust swarm could be kinda like the sand storm if you dont wanna make it a trap
Its been awhile, but i hope it hasn't been to long. I finally got to a point where i think the level looks good enough to post another update. I made two statue models one of ramses and a sphinx. I also finished the arch model (just need to do some resizing for some places.
I'd recommend taking the two statues and doing a high poly version and baking down to the current low poly, the low mesh vertex lighting detail is letting them down a bit at the moment
I played the last version a little. It's coming along but I feel it's a little compact at the moment. It may help to make the 3d skybox show through more so it feels less claustrophobic.

I played the last version a little. It's coming along but I feel it's a little compact at the moment. It may help to make the 3d skybox show through more so it feels less claustrophobic.
I'm gonna do this, I just haven't figured out how i want to block the area, but also making so you can see the skybox.
More detailing. I figured out what i want for the skybox and how to kind of block off some areas. Changed the lighting a little too. Nothing really else to say so just look at the images! No theres nothing else im gonna say stop reading!
