Greetings!
I hope everyone has been having a great weekend so far. Happy Thanksgiving to those in the US.
Today we bring you a quick look at what a few of our testers have been up to! We have decided to release 2.3 with a few language packs. For now, the languages we have been able to translate to are
Deutsch (German),
Suomi (Finnish) and
Nederlands (Dutch). Below are a few examples of the translations in action!
Deutsch (By J-co and Skuzzlebutt)
Suomi (By Saunachum)
Nederlands (By LordTrilobite)
We hope to have the mod translated into a few other languages in the future. Be sure to join our
Official Game Group on Steam to unlock your
Part O' The Crew achievement when 2.3 releases!

I have an aristocratic smile and like to punch people
What do you need to do in 11 seconds? Kill three enemies?
Also: Why aren't the kill messages completely transparent?
Otherwise , this looks great ! The wait is killing me

I can't read them either but how it looks to me is that you have to kill 3 people in 11 seconds as an Archer. Guessing by the achievement name "Legolas" and theres 3 dead guys with arrows in them
But I will still play it in English, even when Im from Germany. German sounds a bit weird, when you're used to play it in English.
What I dont like though are the white boxes around the death notices! They really dont fit into the screen and look kinda ugly.
Whats the reason for adding this?
How are those two related? I mean, do you think that it was some kind of a choice between doing a translation in either Finnish or Swedish? Why dont you say that Why German and not Swedish? That it was done in Finnish has nothing to do with that it wasnt done in Swedish, and that it was done in Finnish is nothing taken away from Swedish.
(Probably only reasons in choosing which languages to translate were that the team had a person who a ) spoke some other language than English as his first language B ) was willing to spend time on making the translation. Simple as that).
but try out the german language always sounds awesome
Good news, anyways.
Will Turner: You didn't beat me. You ignored the rules of engagement. In a fair fight, I'd kill you.
Jack Sparrow: That's not much incentive for me to fight fair, then, is it?

we are still working on it so nothing is final
I am aware of that, ust had to say it is very hard to find an apt translation.

send me an MP if you are interesting
I see you using your own fonts, no? If you need help with Japanese or Russian, pm me
Although I'm a bit surprised on seeing finnish on the list. But any expansion is a good exansion right?
Next up: Ancient scandinavian & somalian!
Might have something to do with Finntroll. Finnish band, but sings in Swedish claiming it sounds so damn trollish.
Haha you're right
I could translate into danish, but my time is limited
because sweden sucks and finland kicks ass of course what other reason could there be
just kidding ^^
but honestly this is very very very cool! thanks a ton. not that it is very essential to have the game in finnish, it is certainly appreciated by finnish players, such as myself
in case you wanted further assistance with the Finnish version please fear not to ask me.
let me suggest something right away: use "Piraatit" instead of "Merirosvot" and you don't have to abbreviate it and (possibly) make it confusing.
As again, I know that about 3 Hungarians play the game, but meh, it's always nice to have it on the supported language list.

I just encountered way more swedish players ingame then finnish, actually im so far up to meeting two so far, and im more active on pvkii then 90 percent of this forums ( even though that doesnt say so much) also, finnish is a way harder language to translate than swedish, our language is a lot like german, while finnish is more related to russian
I hereby lay a swedish curse upon thee, you will soon find yourself being depressed, rainy, and buying expensive clothes for all of your money
