I finished the model, exported it from Maya and succesfully imported the model in to hammer. But for some reason the texture path is wonky, and I can't seem to change it. Wont let me decide which file name the texture should have.
First time I succesfully imported a model in to hammer though...
if in max/maya/xsi, you have a texture called ohai.jpg/tga etc on it, the model will look for a vmt with the same name (so ohai.vmt)
It will look in the texture path that the qc file points at for this file. It doesn't matter what vtf the vmt is pointing at, the model is looking for the vmt

The name of the texture in Maya is EgmondLionTex01.tga
The name of the model in Maya is EgmondLion.mb
However, the texture has a completely different folder than that of the model, perhaps that is the problem?
