Dundunduu...

Finally a new version.
Brighter, less blocky and no more pitch-black hiding areas.
This is most likely going to be the final version (for 1.1), unless someone finds a serious bug or flaw.

    Still... it wouldn't be sexy without them. They add to the atmosphere imo.

    Maybe its just me, but doesn't it look too similar to Temple? Maybe only cuz its 2 shots, but I still think it has a Temple-esque feel to it.

    Yes, it has the feel to it, but this is much more open than temple, which focuses on the constraints of narrow hallways. I like this, really.

    Like you said some textures look out of place and it needs some props.
    But it looks like this is going to become a very cool map.

    or maybe, just maybe, you could fill it with usefull stuff like armor and ammo.

    or maybe put armor and ammo in some crates, and put headcrabs in others. I wonder if Source would make it possible for the prescence of headcrabs or ammo to be randomized.

    I love the look of the map from what I can see in the screen shots. I really like how the trees look inside but trees do light. To solve this you could make more places in the walls for light to pour in, like cracks and such. I also think these flaws in the walls where light would pour through would add even more atmosphere to an already great looking map.

    Why arn't you part of the team yet? This map is bad ass. If you see this one through it may be one of my favorites, and I love the trees ( they look dead anyways science nazis)

    Nice map! I really like the atmosphere you created smile.gif
    You should try and get rid of the square geometry, this Is HL2 (Look at fort pictures smile.gif )

    If you come directly from HL1 mapping it's normal, but try and create some more rounder beams , and less random beams (1st Picture of the last 2 , at the bottom there is this beam that is square and just goes in wall?)
    Also make the holes in the walls have more cracks and have more debris.

    Then, fantasy is nice , but trees growing upside down trough walls ,which would be rock, and indoors? Come on ^^

    Anyhow gj so far , improve that and you got a killer map wink.gif

    there is nothing fantasy about some dead looking trees in an old overgrown place. i say leave um, helps to distinguish it from Temple by a ferther degree.

    I like the feel of the map. I like the feel the trees give too, maybe add some roots hanging down from the cieling in places? (I think I saw you trying to do this with some trees on the wall / cieling?)

    Nice indoor map, some larger areas, great for large servers.
    Haven't seen any negative playercomments in-game.

    Cool map, I like it a lot. The only complaint I have heard so far is that there is no where to hide with the treasure. Doesn't really matter to me, just thought I would pass it along.

    Played it earlier. Nice map, but I think it could definitely use less pick-up items. Try using props like what is seen in pvk_temple. Also, to help with the 'squariness', try adding in more piles of rubble/dirt.

    Thanks for the comments.
    The squareness will be the next thing I work on. And I might also add a couple props but overall I want to keep it pretty open and stuffless.
