If you ask me, both maps you mentioned ain't too harsh on the Sudden Death, more than lts_town but still.
The screenshaking is an effect, it's not ment to contribute to gameplay or do anything but make Sudden Death feel cool. Same goes for the embers particle effect during Arena Sudden Death, since you have a Volcano Erupting it's expected to have screenshaking.

I don't agree with that argument though, because its not a skill that can be mastered. Strafing and parrying for instance, is something you can get better at. You can't get better at know wtf is going on when your screen goes crazy.

You CAN get adapt to it though, I doubt lts_arena and lts_cathedral have randomized screenshakes. Even if they do, the very first one when SD starts is always guaranteed.

Just to end this so we don't go back and fourth on replys. It will not be removed, i understand you may not like it but in the end it's something you'll need to get over with. I didn't like the kicking or rolling mechanic but i got over it which in the end i got use to it so it's no problem anymore, and that's all you need to do so this small detailed screenshaking effect during Sudden Death will be no longer annoying to you.

We are talking about Sudden Death here, the screenshake is intended to be distracting just like the other effects while all hell is breaking loose. You can even get killed by a random meteor in Arena if you are unlucky enough.

I have a 144 Hz monitor. It's hardly noticeable. What is noticeable is how garbage 60 Hz is. I've had this 144 Hz monitor for a month and it has made 60 Hz just seem utterly terrible. It looks so slow and sluggish AGHHH. Sorry, off-topic rant there. It should be illegal to have anything less than a 90 Hz display.
