Freezing and crashing problems.

Hey,

Recently, Pvkii just started freezing and crashing for me. I tried updating all my video drivers, but no effect. Sometimes, it freezes, crashes and says something like: "Failed to lock to an index buffer". I even tried re-installing windows 7. If you have ever encountered this problem, or know a possible fix, please write away! Thanks!

Disable SLI. I don't know if you can do it for a specific game, but I'm pretty sure that's the problem.

That would be under the NVIDIA control panel. Can't tell you for sure how to get to it at the moment because my desktop is down right now and my laptop has an ATI, not NVIDIA

Edit: Hooray me, fixed my computer! Anyway, you should just have to right click on your desktop, go to the NVIDIA Control Panel and there should be a link that's in the bar on the left that says something about PhysX, mine says "Configure Surround, PhysX" Under there, there should be a setting for SLi that you can disable.

Then you may be able to run the game without a problem. If it works out and you still want to be able use the benefits of SLI in other games... ask someone else because I've got no clue! XD

Welp, according to zansloy that appears to have been the problem. But as a quick note to anybody else, the disable SLI option may be under a slightly different name, or it may be in its own separate section of settings. The NVIDIA Control Panel changes with different versions of drivers.
